This is a purely experiential webinar! You will be gently guided through mental imagery exercises that allow you to experience the transmutation of different emotions. You will also have the opportunity to provide your feedback in order to understand the information the experience has to offer you.
If you have a habit of bottling up painful feelings, like many people do, you may want to give some thought to the possibility of undergoing emotional metamorphosis. Anger, despair, anxiety, depression all fall under this category. We bury our emotions deep inside our psyches and go on with our lives as if they have vanished while we trick ourselves into believing that they are no longer with us. These suppressed feelings eventually get more intense and begin to surface in our everyday thoughts and actions after being repressed for a period of time. It gets to the point where it seems like it’s too much to manage at some time. This critical stage serves as a marker indicating that we need emotional growth and development. Emotional change, in contrast to the physical healing process, which may be accomplished with only rest or exercises, requires that we put forth the effort to connect with our subconscious mind and accomplish the inner work.
You can determine the underlying reason for all of these challenging feelings if you take a more in-depth look into your subconscious mind. As a direct result of this, you are able to take the necessary steps to heal yourself.
This healing can be initiated with the practice of mental imagery.
Studies assert that individuals who use mental imagery have the capacity of voluntarily altering their experience in a desirable direction (Sheikh, 2003), by which one can assume that this offers the possibility of re-writing the stories we tell ourself.
Mental imagery practitioners are able to arouse various beneficial mentally visual suggestions in their clients that aid in their diagnosis, help them gain a better understanding of themselves, and improve their health (Davenport, 2016). A number of reports have shown the beneficial outcomes of applying mental imagery, such as, and not limited to, lessening pain and anxiety (Gagan, 1984), alleviating symptoms of fatigue in patients with breast cancer (Goodwin et al., 2005), as well as healing depression (Gilbert, 2009). This implies the capacity people have to take control and become active and empowered participants in their treatment through the practice of mental imagery.
