MENTAL IMAGERY EXERCISE

Entering the Mystical Portal of Janus

 

Intention: To invoke inspiration

Sit up straight in a chair, legs and arms uncrossed and close your eyes. Breathe evenly and regularly– long slow exhalations through the mouth and brief, normal inhalations through the nose. After several of these full respirations:

See, sense and feel that you are sitting in the middle of a beautiful valley.  Observe your surroundings; see and feel the serenity that exists there.

Breathe out once long and slow.

As you stand in the middle of this valley, a portal, a gateway begins to form before you. It has your name on it in gold, shining letters. Read your name.

Breathe out once long and slow through the mouth.

Imaginally turn your head to the left. See what being uninspired, stuck in a rut and subdued looks and feels like. Imaginally use your hand and wipe that feeling out of the picture towards the left so that it completely disappears.

Breathe out once long and slow through the mouth.

Imaginally turn your head to the right. See what being inspired looks like. Now bring that sense or image of inspiration into the center ahead of you. Step forward and pass through the gateway, at the same time merging with that sense or image of inspiration. Be inspiration. Your whole physical body, your mind, your emotions are infused with the sense and image of inspiration.

How does it feel to be the vertical conduit of inspiration? Keep that feeling alive within yourself. Know that you have now entered the portal of inspiration and you are the conduit of inspiration drawing inspiration from your inner source to this physical plane on earth. You have the keys to unlock the treasure that inspires you to reach your goal.

Breathe out and open your eyes.

Do this exercise for as many days as you need to, once in the morning as soon as you wake up… sitting in a chair, arms and legs uncrossed, and once before you go to bed.

Don’t spend more than a minute or two on the exercise. These exercises are not meant to be done for more than one or two minutes. By doing them, you receive small doses of light on a daily basis and you breathe life into your intention and strengthen your voluntary will.
It’s just like in homeopathy, the principle of which is that small doses accelerate the healing and transformational process, whereas extended stimuli suppress it.
